NFL lifts restrictions for Tom Brady on Fox Sports

  • Tom Brady has gained access to NFL broadcast meetings.
  • The restrictions were lifted following criticism from the owner of the Chiefs.
  • Brady will debut on September 7 in the Giants vs. Commanders match.

The NFL has decided to lift the restrictions for Tom Brady, an analyst for Fox Sports and minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. For the first time since his exit from television screens, Brady will be able to participate in broadcast meetings with teams and trainers, which is important for preparing for broadcasts.

In the previous season, Brady could not attend these meetings due to his role as owner of a team in the AFC West. His colleague on the air, Kevin Burkhardt, and other team members provided him with information from these meetings. The NFL at times lifted restrictions during the Super Bowl, but for the rest of the time, Brady remained outside these important sessions.

Now, in the second season of his 10-year contract worth $375 million, Brady has access to information on par with other leading analysts. However, he still cannot attend team training. Both organizations, Fox Sports and the NFL, declined to comment on the changes in policy.

Brady's first match will take place on September 7, when Fox broadcasts the game between the New York Giants and the Washington Commanders. He will not comment on this season's Super Bowl, as it will be broadcast by NBC. However, Brady and Burkhardt will be hosting the biggest Sunday matches, including the holiday of Thanksgiving and the NFC Championship.
