Plaud Launches New AI Device Note Pro for Recording Conversations

Plaud, a company specializing in AI technologies, announced the release of its new device for recording conversations, Plaud Note Pro. This device has the form factor of a credit card and is an upgraded version of its predecessor, Plaud Note, which was launched in 2023.

Plaud Note Pro has two additional microphones, allowing it to record sound from a distance of up to 5 meters (16.4 feet). The device automatically switches between recording phone calls and personal meetings, simplifying usage. Additionally, the new "ambient mode" feature allows for extending the recording time from 30 to 50 hours, although it reduces the sound capture range to 3 meters (9.8 feet).

Thanks to the Plaud App software, users can replay AI-generated recordings, transcriptions, and summaries. The new InstantView interface simplifies navigation between functions, such as initiating a recording and exporting data. Furthermore, users can indicate important information with the help of the "press-to-highlight" button.

Cost of the Plaud Note Pro is $179, and it is available for preorder starting August 27, with shipping expected in October. Those who preorder will receive 600 complimentary transcription minutes and a magnetic case for attachment to a phone.

The company also announced an update to its app in October, which will allow users to input text and upload images. The new version will include the "Ask in Plaud" feature, which will allow users to ask questions about recorded information.
