The Jacksonville Jaguars acquired wide receiver Tim Patrick from the Detroit Lions in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick in 2026, which became known on September 27, 2025.

Tim Patrick, 31 years old, did not play in 2022 and 2023 due to injuries: at the start, he tore his Achilles tendon, and later - an Achilles tendon rupture. However, in the previous season, Patrick played 16 games for the Lions, making 33 receptions for 394 yards and three touchdowns.

Patrick's height is 1.96 meters, and he is expected to become the fifth wide receiver for the Jaguars, following Bryan Thomas Jr., Travis Hunter, Dayami Brown, and Parker Washington. The Jaguars were looking for a bigger wide receiver who could block on the edge and play on special teams.

Patrick spent the first four years of his NFL career in Denver, where he recorded 176 receptions for 2403 yards and 15 touchdowns over five seasons.

Recently, Patrick lost his position in the Lions' lineup, as the team has a large number of talented players on its receiving corps.
