An agent has been detained for passing information about military facilities in Ukraine

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a 40-year-old worker from a chemical plant who was passing coordinates of Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities for the benefit of Russian special services. The detention took place in several regions, including Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, and Lviv regions.
According to the information obtained from the SBU, the main task of the detained individual was to search for and pass coordinates of air defense systems, complexes of anti-aircraft defense, and support structures that produce missiles for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. For this purpose, he was conducting reconnaissance in these regions, marking coordinates of military facilities on Google Maps.
Additionally, the individual collected information through acquaintances, posing as a friend to gather inquiries. The detention occurred when he attempted to fulfill a new task from his curator, including documenting the consequences of a recent strike in Kyiv region.
During the interrogation of the detained individual, a smartphone with geolocations, photographs, and other materials for the Russians was seized. The Security Service reported on the suspicion of the individual under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for punishment in the form of sufficient imprisonment for treason against the state.
Moreover, the SBU detained two more Russian agents who were preparing terrorist acts in the Khmelnytskyi and Dnipro regions.
