Cardi B Denies Assaulting Bouncer During Court Proceedings
- Cardi B denies assaulting bouncer Emani Ellis in court.
- Ellis claims that the rapper punched her in the face and struck her.
- The court case has drawn attention due to an unusual question from the lawyer.
In court, Cardi B denied that she assaulted bouncer Emani Ellis, who filed a lawsuit against her for the assault. Ellis claims that the rapper hit her in the face with her long nails and punched her during a conflict near a nightclub in Los Angeles in 2018.
In the testimony on Tuesday, Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, stated that Ellis followed her and approached her without permission when she arrived for an event. The rapper asserts that only a verbal conflict occurred between them, and there was no physical contact. "I did not touch her," Cardi B stated.
Ellis revealed that during the incident, she invoked the name of the rapper but did not identify her. Ellis claims that Cardi B threatened her and made derogatory remarks, and also that her appearance was demeaned.
The rapper's lawyer noted that she was concerned for her unborn child, as at that moment Cardi B was pregnant, and accused Ellis of changing her testimony.
The court case continues, and Cardi B's testimony has drawn much attention on social media due to her emotional reaction and the unusual question from lawyer Ellis about her wig and nails.
