British tennis player Emma Raducanu once again showcased her class, having defeated Indonesian qualifier Yannis Tjen with a score of 6-2, 6-1, reaching the third round of the US Open. The match lasted 60 minutes, and Raducanu displayed strong play, particularly on her serve, where she achieved eight aces and won 76% of points on her first serve.
Raducanu, who ranks 34th in the world, noted that her superiority was unquestionable, but she managed to control the game, not allowing Tjen to find her rhythm. In the second set, Raducanu conceded a small break in the spin, but this did not prevent her from continuing to play confidently.
Tjen, a professional from last year, previously won a significant number of titles on the ITF tour, but this time she could not cope with the pressure at a higher level. In the upcoming round, Raducanu might face the former champion Wimbledon Yelena Rybakina, who is currently the ninth seed in the tournament.
Raducanu continues to develop her game under the guidance of new coach Francis Royga, and her performance at the US Open indicates a positive dynamic in her career.
