Alex de Minaur won his first title of the year, defeating in the final of the Washington Open. The Australian tennis player, ranked seventh in the world, claimed victory over Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina with a score of 5-7, 6-1, 7-6 (7-3) in a match that lasted three hours and more.
In this competition, de Minaur showed a strong game, particularly in the tie-break, which became a turning point of the match, filled with positive moments. This title became his tenth in his career at the ATP level. De Minaur climbed to the top 10 of the world ranking after this success.
