India's Team Equalizes Against England in the Series
- India achieved a draw in the fourth test against England
- Shubman Gill became one of three players with a century
- Ben Stokes is preparing for the final test, despite injuries
In the fourth test match against England, the Indian team, led by captain Shubman Gill, achieved a crucial draw that allowed them to maintain their chances in the series. After losing the first two matches without scoring a single century, India managed to hold on for more than five sessions, finishing the game with a score of 425-4 at the "Emirates Old Trafford" stadium in Manchester on July 28.
Gill, who started with a century (103), became one of three Indian players to reach this milestone in the second innings, alongside Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar. This allowed India to complete the match without defeat, despite England controlling the game for most of the day.
England's captain Ben Stokes, who took five wickets in the first innings, tried to push for a win, but the English team couldn't capitalize on their chances for a victory. Currently, the series remains with England leading 2-1, and the next test will take place on July 31 at the "Kia Oval" in London.
Stokes, speaking after the match, expressed disappointment that the team couldn't finish the match in their favor, but also praised India for their resilience and spirited play.
