  • Passengers were evacuated from the aircraft due to a fire at the airport.
  • One passenger was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
  • The Federal Aviation Administration has begun an investigation into the incident.

This was reported by NBC News, The Yomiuri Shimbun.

At Denver International Airport, passengers were evacuated from an American Airlines flight due to a fire that occurred during takeoff. The Boeing 737 MAX 8, which was carrying 173 passengers, was en route to Miami International Airport.

According to reports, the problem arose with the aircraft's landing gear. After the start of the takeoff, passengers heard a loud bang and felt strong vibrations, after which the pilot initiated the emergency stop procedure. As a result of the incident, one passenger sustained unspecified injuries and was taken to a hospital.

Video footage shared on ZMI shows passengers escaping from the aircraft on inflatable slides, some of whom were carrying luggage and children. The fire was extinguished by firefighters, and the aircraft was taken out of service for a technical check.

Representatives of the airline stated that all passengers and crew exited the aircraft safely. The Federal Aviation Administration has begun an investigation into the incident, as the issue with retrieving passenger luggage during the evacuation is a serious problem.
