Discussed Joint Drone Production between Ukraine and the USA

On July 28, 2025, a meeting took place in Kyiv between the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, and representatives of the USA, including the acting chargé d'affaires of the USA in Ukraine, Julie Davis, the military attaché Brigadier General Bredon Nicholson, and the commander of SAG-U and NSATU, General-Lieutenant Kertis Bazard.

Shmyhal thanked the USA, President Trump, and Congress for significant support, including for the transfer of Patriot systems and long-range weapons. He emphasized that this is crucial for protecting people from daily bombardments from Russia.

During the meeting, they discussed the implementation of agreements in the field of defense support and the development of bilateral cooperation, including in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles. Shmyhal noted that new important projects are being prepared.

The sides suggested the results of the meeting in the Ramstein format. Shmyhal also expressed the Minister of Defense of the USA, Pete Hegseth's interest in participating in the meeting. He emphasized that it is important to hold the upcoming meeting in person at the earliest time.

The Minister of Defense emphasized that Ukraine is working in close coordination with American partners, and achieving stable peace through diplomatic means remains their goal.
