Liverpool plans to sign Alexander Isak this summer
- Liverpool wants to sign Alexander Isak this summer.
- Newcastle has rejected Liverpool's proposal, but talks are ongoing.
- Isak could be a replacement for Mohamed Salah at Liverpool.
Alexander Isak is one of the most prolific forwards in Europe, and this summer the club Liverpool is actively exploring the possibility of his signing. Despite Newcastle rejecting the initial proposal, Liverpool hopes to find a way to finalize the deal.
Liverpool has already spent £270 million on new players, including Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike. However, the club is also considering the possibility of spending around £150 million on Isak to secure the future attacking lineup of the team.
Isak, who has a contract with Newcastle for another three years, recently missed the preseason tour of the club, which raised speculation about his potential transfer. Newcastle's manager, Eddie Howe, hopes that Isak will stay at the club, but noted that any further decisions depend on the management.
Liverpool, which is eager to replace its key players, such as Mohamed Salah, sees Isak as an ideal candidate to strengthen their attacking potential. Signing Isak could be an important step in the team's strategy for the upcoming years.
