More Than Just Play: Morukam Suspended Due to Financial Problems

  • Morukam has been suspended from the National League due to financial issues.
  • The club has been excluded from the National League Cup for the new season.
  • The commission will discuss the possibility of reinstating membership on August 20.

The football club Morukam has been suspended from participating in the National League with immediate effect due to financial difficulties. This decision was made by the commission in accordance with the norms and licensing of the National League after discussing three issues related to the club's ability to fulfill financial obligations for the 2025/26 season.

The club will also be excluded from the National League Cup for the upcoming season. The commission plans to meet again on August 20 to assess whether all requirements for reinstating the club's membership in the league have been met.

Earlier, on Friday, the National League established a deadline for Morukam's owner to confirm the availability of funds for participation in the new season. Morukam had previously exited League Two after 18 years in the EFL.

It is noted that last month the club announced reaching an agreement with the Panjab Warriors regarding a sale, but the agreement is still not finalized.
