Pep Guardiola, the head coach of Manchester City, confirmed that after the end of his contract with the club he plans to take a three-month break from coaching activities. Guardiola, who is currently 54 years old, noted that this break could last from one to 15 years.

Guardiola signed a new contract until 2027, but he has already stated that after completing this stage in his career he will need to focus on himself. He also emphasized that he does not know how long his break will last.

Last season, Manchester City did not win any trophies, which became the first occurrence since Guardiola took over the team in 2016. In an interview with GQ Spain, he mentioned that he considers it necessary to take a break and rethink his life.

Guardiola also noted that the team went through a challenging season due to injuries, but he does not consider it a failure. "I do not feel like a failure, even when we do not win," he said.

It is worth noting that Manchester City will start the new Premier League season with a match against Wolverhampton on August 16.
