Trump Talks About Hunger in Gaza and Calls for Action
- Trump stated about the presence of hunger in Gaza and called for action.
- Plans are underway to create food centers to assist those in need.
- The issue of humanitarian aid is being discussed with European countries.
President of the USA Donald Trump expressed a recorded statement regarding the humanitarian situation in Gaza, where, according to him, there is a "real hunger". He called on Israel to ensure the delivery of aid to people. Trump made these statements during a visit to Scotland, where he discussed the issue of humanitarian aid with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
Trump noted that the USA and other countries are already providing financial and humanitarian aid, but he believes that Israel has a "great responsibility" for the situation in Gaza. He emphasized the necessity of acting to help children who are suffering from hunger and confirmed that the USA plans to create "food centers" in Gaza.
These comments came in response to the recent statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who denied the presence of a humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Trump, however, mentioned that it is important to not ignore images of starving children that are appearing on screens around the world. He also noted that negotiations remain the best way for Israel to ensure the safety of its citizens.
In addition, Trump emphasized that he discussed the issue of humanitarian aid with the leadership of European countries, which intend to increase their support in this area. He also stated that the Israeli army announced a restriction on combat operations in certain areas of Gaza, which would allow for the delivery of humanitarian aid.
