On the Greek island of Rhodes, on July 28, 2025, during a protest against the war in Gaza, clashes occurred between the police and demonstrators, who were there to witness an Israeli cruise ship.

Television reports showed a small group of protesters, who shouted "Freedom for Palestine" near the port. The police attempted to disperse them, which led to unspecified clashes. Passengers of the cruise ship, named Crown Iris, successfully disembarked in Rhodes without incidents.

Activists of the anti-war movement joined the protest during the planned stop of the cruise ship, which transported over 600 tourists. However, representatives of local businesses spoke out against the protest.

Earlier that week, Crown Iris had left another Greek island, Syros, not allowing passengers to disembark after more than 150 protesters staged a demonstration at the port. The Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gidon Saar, connected with his Greek counterpart, Georgios Gerapetritis, regarding the incident in Syros.
