The user managed to throw the phone onto a plate, using the charging cable to stop the spread of flames.

During the fire, the owner noted a strong smell of smoke, which triggered a rapid reaction. The user mentioned that they were asleep when the explosion occurred, and it is likely that the phone had been charging all night.

This incident is not an isolated case and indicates potential problems with the batteries of this model, released in 2022. In response to a series of incidents, Google implemented a mandatory software update designed to reduce the risk of battery overheating by lowering its capacity and charging speed.

The user, who became a victim of the fire, reported that they installed an update related to the battery's performance, but this did not help. Additionally, according to information, the phone was charged with an external charger with a power of 45 W.
