The Tennessee Titans announced the release of wide receiver Traylon Burks with a designation for injury on Monday, July 28, 2025. Burks suffered a shoulder injury during training when he was trying to make a diving catch.

Burks was selected under the 18th pick in the NFL draft in 2022, after which the Titans made their choice, having traded the star receiver A.J. Brown to Philadelphia. In his debut season, he played 11 games, making 33 receptions for 444 yards and one touchdown. However, his productivity declined in 2023, when he recorded only 16 receptions for 221 yards. In 2024, Burks was limited by a knee injury, which caused him to play only 5 games.

The Tennessee Titans decided not to extend Burks' contract, opting out of his fifth-year option in the spring. After his release, if Burks is not signed by another team, he will return to the list of injured Titans. In his place on the team, they signed Ramel Keyton, who previously played for the Las Vegas Raiders.
