The incident happened during a closed session of the board, which took place on July 24.
Board members, Ryan Dizeridge and Becky Carson, who were present at the meeting, confirmed that they witnessed the situation. According to them, the television, which was visible to them, transmitted images of women who were standing next to "a hyper-practical table."
The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office has begun investigating this incident following a request from the Office of Management and Budget, which deals with state personnel issues. Speaker Palati called on Walters to "allow access to all relevant resources" for a thorough investigation.
Walters, who is known for his conservative views and initiatives, such as promoting religion in education, has denied any wrongdoing. In his statement, he asserts that "any suggestion that my office was used to transmit inappropriate content is absolutely false."
