Employee Who Filed a Lawsuit Against the Suns Has Been Fired

  • Jin Trailer was fired after filing a lawsuit against the Suns.
  • Trailer's firing is considered a retaliation by advocates.
  • The lawsuit points to issues with the team's workplace culture.

The Phoenix Suns have fired employee Jin Trailer, who filed a lawsuit against the team in June 2025. The lawsuit alleges discrimination, harassment based on race, and unlawful retaliation.

Trailer, who worked as a director of security, was terminated on July 28, 2025. According to team representatives, he violated internal policies regarding confidential information.

Trailer's advocates consider his firing an act of retaliation, not the result of a legitimate investigation. They assert that the firing is part of a broader pattern of discrimination within the organization.

In the lawsuit, Trailer indicates that his presentation on security issues led to negative consequences for him, including a demotion. He also states that the team did not implement security measures following his previous reports about issues.

This lawsuit is one of several filed against the Suns in recent months. Earlier, former diversity and inclusion manager Andrea Trishan also filed a lawsuit regarding racial discrimination.

Trailer asserts that the team did not undergo a series of security tests conducted by the Phoenix police, where under the pretext of security, they attempted to conduct projects that were not appropriate.

In a statement, a team representative indicated that security personnel are a priority, and they constantly conduct security tests.
