In Inglewood, California — Chris Paul has returned to the Los Angeles Clippers, signing a one-year contract worth 3.6 million dollars. This will be his 21st season in the NBA, and he is looking forward to the opportunity to win a championship alongside James Harden and Kawhi Leonard.
Paul, who previously played for the Clippers for six seasons, will once again don his favorite jersey with the number 3. At the press conference dedicated to his return, he stated that this was a "natural" decision, especially since he wanted to be closer to his family, who remained in Los Angeles while he played in other cities.
Chris noted that his connection with the team's owner Steve Ballmer remained strong, and he even helped unveil the new Clippers arena, Intuit Dome, before its opening. Paul believes that his experience and role in the team have changed, but he is ready to take on any task given to him.
In the previous season, Paul became the first player to play all 82 games of his career, and now he hopes to leverage his experience to help the younger players on the team. His presence will be essential in showing an example and supporting the team on the path to new achievements.
