This club became the third that Trump Organization owns in Scotland, following the acquisition of the Turnberry club in 2014 and another club near Aberdeen, opened in 2012.

During the vacation, Trump met with the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Keir Starmer, with whom he discussed trade issues between the USA and the European Union. Trump also used this trip to mitigate the spotlight on Washington and focus on his business interests.
