Explosions at Railway Infrastructure in Rostov Region

On the night of July 28 to 29, attacks by drones occurred in the city of Salsk in the Rostov region of Russia. As a result of the strikes, large fires broke out near railway facilities.
According to local residents, at 2:00 AM there were a series of explosions, and air defense systems were active. Significant infrastructure objects were targeted, including the railway station in Salsk.
The acting governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, confirmed that as a result of the attack, a fire occurred at the station. "The passenger train was redirected to a safe distance. In total, 45 rescuers and 12 units of equipment are involved in the firefighting," he noted.
In addition, in the area of the Orlovsky settlement, heavy machinery was damaged, which contributed to the fires in its surroundings.
Explosions were also reported in Volgodonsk, where local residents reported hearing blasts in the sky. Overall, drone attacks on the Rostov region resulted in significant damage to railway infrastructure and disruption of train traffic.
