Dmitry Rogozin, the head of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, arrived in Houston, Texas, for negotiations with NASA administrator Shawn Daffy. This is the first in-person meeting between the leadership of Roscosmos and NASA since 2018.

The meeting will take place on July 31, where they will discuss the continuation of joint flights, the extension of work on the International Space Station (ISS), and preparation for the safe descent of the spacecraft. It is also planned that the Roscosmos delegation will visit the Johnson Space Center and meet with the Crew Dragon mission team, which includes Russian cosmonaut Oleg Platonov.

Rogozin will participate in the review of readiness for the launch of the future mission to the ISS, and will also review the production capabilities of Boeing, where further negotiations on space projects will take place. The last meeting between the heads of the two space agencies occurred in 2018 at the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
