For the first time in Ukraine, FPV drones were used with boats in open sea. This operation took place on September 11, 2024, when the fighters of the "Raven" group, which is part of the special subunit "Timur" of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, used FPV drones with boats.
The video that was published contains exclusive footage of the combat operations of the intelligence officers. According to the information from the GUR, during this operation, the Ukrainian military managed to provide fire support to the positions of Russian troops on the gas production platform "Petro Hodovanets" in the Black Sea. The Russian troops suffered losses among personnel and equipment.
Earlier, it was reported that the GUR subunit "Group 13" received a new marine drone MAGURA V7, which was named "Konotopska vid'ma" in honor of a cultural and charitable project, within which funds were raised for its purchase.
Also, in France, a camikadze marine drone was developed, an analog of the Ukrainian Magura V5, which was tested during the assault on the listed barge.
