Delta Airlines pilot arrested for child sex crimes

34-year-old Delta Airlines pilot, Rustam Bhaghvagar, was arrested after the arrival of the flight in San Francisco on July 29, 2025. The arrest occurred when federal agents entered the cabin of the Boeing 737 flight arriving from Minneapolis.

The pilot was arrested on charges of sexual crimes against children, including allegations of five instances of oral sexual contact with minors. His bail was set at a total of 5 million dollars.

According to information from the Department of Homeland Security, the arrest was part of a local investigation. During the operation, passengers recorded a video, showing how agents move through the airplane cabin.

Delta Airlines stated that it maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards illegal conduct and is ready to cooperate with law enforcement agencies. The pilot has been suspended pending the completion of the investigation.
