Russian Attack on Sumy Resulted in Damage to the Tax Service

On July 29, 2025, a new attack occurred in the Sumy region from the Russian side. As a result of the shelling, the premises of the Center for Service of State Taxation were damaged. According to the report by Lesia Karnaukh, the head of the State Tax Service, significant damages were noted: the windows were broken and some workspaces were partially destroyed.
According to previous data, none of the employees were injured. Karnaukh noted that the service is quickly addressing the consequences of the attack. She also expressed condolences to the tax officials of the Sumy region, who continue to fulfill their obligations under difficult conditions.
The attack on the tax service occurred against the backdrop of a new wave of mass shellings in Ukraine. During the night of July 29, Russian troops carried out strikes on the city of Kamianske in the Dnipro region, as well as on the correctional colony in the Zaporizhia region, where there were casualties and injuries.
According to information from the Ukrainian military, ballistic missiles of the Iskander-M type and Shahed-type drones were used for the shellings.
