On July 29, 2025, Adobe announced the launch of new editing features powered by artificial intelligence in Photoshop. Among them is the Generative Upscale feature, which allows increasing the resolution of images up to 8 megapixels, as well as an advanced tool for removing objects and a new Harmonize feature for color correction and lighting.

The Generative Upscale feature allows for improving the details of older photographs and adapting images for different platforms without losing quality. It will be handy for restoring old images or preparing them for printing.

The Harmonize feature automatically adjusts the colors, tones, and lighting of new objects so that they blend seamlessly into existing images. This feature simplifies the editing process, which usually requires significant skills.

In addition, Adobe has introduced a tool for removing objects. The new version reduces the number of unwanted artifacts and allows for better filling in empty spaces. It improves the quality of editing, enabling users to achieve more realistic results.

The new features are already available in the beta version for desktop and web versions of Photoshop, as well as in early access on the mobile app for iOS.
