On July 28, 2025, Mario Paint became available in the Super Nintendo catalog for Nintendo Switch Online. This game, originally released in 1992, allows users to draw, animate, and create music. It is noted that Mario Paint features unique controls with a mouse, making it easier to utilize its functions.

Players of the original Switch can connect a USB mouse for gameplay, while on Switch 2, the Joy-Con 2 controller with mouse functionality is supported. This makes the game more accessible for those who wish to create digital art.

In addition, the mobile add-on Nintendo Music has added 19 tracks from Mario Paint, including three samples of compositions available in the game. The SNES add-on also received an update for improved control accessibility for users.
