Woad won with a margin of three strokes, showcasing an impressive game at the Royal Porthcawl course in Wales, where she made her debut in a major tournament as a professional. After her victory, she received a prize of $300,000 (£223,000).

Before the start of the AIG Women’s Open, Woad stated that she does not feel additional pressure, regardless of her favorite status. "I feel like I’m playing well, so that’s normal," she said.

Woad also revealed plans to spend part of her winnings on purchasing a car in the USA. She mentioned that her confidence has increased following recent successful performances, including a third-place finish at the Evian Championship.
