The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has confirmed information about a secret meeting in the Alps between Ukrainian military personnel and representatives of the USA and Great Britain. According to the intelligence data, this information is being spread by Russian special services as part of a new information campaign.

On July 29, 2025, Russian propagandists, following an order from the Kremlin, began an active phase of the campaign aimed at destabilizing the situation in Ukraine. In particular, they are spreading fakes about the involvement of Ukrainian officials in alleged voting in the alpine resort.

Russian special services aim to provoke social unrest in Ukraine and sow distrust among the military and political leadership of the country. They also seek to divert public attention from the war and provoke internal conflicts.

Moreover, the intelligence has noted that Russian propagandists are spreading disinformation about the alleged involvement of one of the military in narcotrafficking. This fake has also been spread.

The Main Intelligence Directorate has warned Ukrainians not to spread Russian disinformation and to focus on combating fakes.
