Linda Hogan made her first public comments after the sudden death of her former husband, WWE legend Hulk Hogan.

Linda, who is 65 years old, was married to Hulk from 1983 to 2009. She described his death as "a great loss" in a comment on Instagram under a post shared days before his death on July 24 at the age of 71.

"I had no idea that he would pass so soon. We all really thought he would make a comeback! This is a great loss. We are all stunned. It’s hard to comprehend. I loved Hulk more than he loved me," she wrote.

"I was happier when he was alive. But he was always a celebrity. I didn’t understand [the fame], but it was overwhelming. I never got to know him like that or start a real relationship with someone else... I was mourning him! I cried all day. This is very sad," added Linda.

"We spent every moment together for many years. I knew him for 28 years! I was 22. I still loved him. Even though I didn’t communicate with him, my son Nick was in touch with him... I still felt that, you know, he wanted to grow, we were still a family. It’s very hard to realize that he is no longer here. I had to be strong for Nick, but now I am falling apart. This is very sad. I love you, Hulk. You were my man. The only man for me," she concluded.
