Turkish Airlines Evacuates Passengers from Plane Due to Smoke
- The plane arrived from Istanbul to Antalya.
- The smoke in the cabin was the reason for the evacuation without injuries.
- The problem arose due to a malfunction of the hydraulic system.
On the morning of July 29, 2025, passengers on a Turkish Airlines flight were evacuated due to smoke that appeared in the cabin during landing at Antalya Airport. The Boeing 777 aircraft arrived from Istanbul. According to the representative of the airline, Yakh'i Ustun, the evacuation was recommended by the emergency services as a precaution to ensure the safety of passengers.
All passengers were "quickly" evacuated, but at that moment it was not known how many people were on board. A previous inspection of the aircraft indicated that the smoke occurred due to a malfunction of the hydraulic system. Currently, technical checks are being conducted on the aircraft.
