Proposed changes to the budget amounting to 400 billion hryvnias

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to submit changes to the state budget for 2025 to allocate 400 billion hryvnias for the funding of the defense sector and procurement. This proposal was discussed by the Verkhovna Rada, as reported by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko during a national telethon.

Svyrydenko noted that this year the government plans to attract 39 billion dollars in external financing. She emphasized that all social obligations to Ukrainians will be fulfilled.

President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that changes to the budget are aimed at ensuring necessary payments for military personnel and families of fallen soldiers. He expects support from deputies on these issues.

In addition, the government has prepared an expansion of the contract program for young people aged 18-24, which will allow to attract more young people to work with drones.
