Adaptation of *Gordy* and *Overzealous* on Netflix Reveals Full Cast of Actors

Netflix has announced the full cast of actors for its new miniseries Gordy and Overzealous, an adaptation of the classic novel by Jane Austen. The lead role of Elizabeth Bennet is played by Emma Corrin, known for her role as Princess Diana in The Crown.

In the role of Mr. Darcy appears Jack Loudon, while Olivia Colman plays Elizabeth's mother, Mrs. Bennet. Among the other actors involved in the project are Rufus Sewell, Freya Mavor, James Demetriou, Derby McCormack, Ria Norrwood, Siona Kelly, and Louis Partridge.

This adaptation is written by Dolly Alderton, author of the bestseller Everything I Know About Love. The director is Euros Lyn, known for Heartstopper. Production started in Great Britain, and Netflix has already released the first frames, in which Corrin is seen in Elizabeth’s costume along with other sisters Bennet.

This new version follows two popular adaptations: the television drama from 1995 with Colin Firth and Kiera Knightley in the 2005 film.
