On July 29, 2025, Russian forces carried out a missile strike on the territory of one of the training units of the Southern Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result of the attack, three soldiers were killed, and eighteen sustained injuries.

The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is implementing additional safety measures to protect the lives and health of servicemen during missile and airstrikes at training grounds and centers.
