Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be the keynote speaker at the event, which will take place on August 18 in Anderson, Southern Carolina. This event, known as Salute to Liberty, is organized by the 3rd Congressional District of Southern Carolina Sherri Biggs and traditionally attracts nearly 2000 activists of the Republican Party.

This event has become an important venue for presenting potential candidates for the U.S. presidency. Sanders, who previously held the position of press secretary for President Donald Trump, has deep ties in Southern Carolina, where her father, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, also sought nomination in the 2008 elections.

Last year, this event was held under the name Faith & Freedom BBQ, organized by representative Jeff Dunkan, but due to personal scandals, Dunkan's event changed its format. Biggs, who won the election last year, plans to continue the tradition but with a new approach to the evening format.

She noted that she wants the event to reflect her personality and plans to change the menu for a more formal setting.
