Manchester United defender Luke Shaw expressed support for the rigorous approach of new trainer Ruben Amorim, who aims to change the "toxic" atmosphere in the club. Shaw noted that Amorim demands 100% commitment from players and is intolerant of those who do not meet these requirements.
As part of the preparations for the new season, the team is participating in a tour in the USA, where they will face Premier League rivals. Shaw emphasized that the team no longer has "stragglers" and everyone is committed to placing the team in first place.
After a tough season, in which United finished in 15th place in the Premier League, the team was under pressure. Shaw believes that for the club to successfully bounce back, a positive atmosphere and a healthy collective are necessary.
A few players, such as Antony, Jadon Sancho, Tyrell Malacia, and Alejandro Garnacho, are not participating in the tour, as they are allowed to seek new teams. Also, Marcus Rashford has moved to Barcelona on loan.
Shaw believes that changes in the squad, including new signings like Matheus Cunha and Brian Mbemmo, are part of Amorim's strategy to raise the team's level.
