The football club FC Poltava announced the change of head coach just before its debut in the Ukrainian Premier League. The new head coach has been appointed Pavlo Matviychenko, who replaces Volodymyr Sysenko. The change took place just a few days before the start of the season, when the team is preparing for the match against Rukh on September 1, 2025.

Pavlo Matviychenko has experience working in various clubs, including in lower division teams, as well as in youth and reserve squads. Previously, he played as a forward for several Ukrainian clubs. According to club representatives, the new coach has the instinct of a forward, which will add the necessary aggression to the team on the field.

Volodymyr Sysenko, who has been leading the team until now, will continue to engage in training processes until he receives a coaching license of category Pro. The start of the season in UPL will be a landmark for FC Poltava, as the team will participate in the top division of Ukrainian football for the first time.
