US Open confirmed 14 teams that will participate in mixed doubles this year. The competition will take place on August 19-20, and two additional teams will receive invitations later. The tournament format has been changed: matches will be played in a faster format with sets to four games.

Among the participants are nine champions of the Grand Slam tournaments, including Daniil Medvedev and Iga Swiatek, who will have direct access to the competition. Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz also received invitations to participate.

Additionally, the teams will include Venus Williams and Reilly Opelka, who also received wildcards. The prize fund for the tournament will be set at 1 million dollars, which is 800 thousand more than in 2024. These changes have drawn criticism from some players, who believe that the new format limits opportunities for specialists in mixed doubles tennis.

Prominent athletes, such as Williams and Opelka, have become part of the competition, which has traditionally been occupied by less well-known players.
