United Kingdom's Announcement on Recognizing Palestine During the War

During the night of Wednesday, 46 Palestinians were reported killed in the Gaza sector due to Israeli shelling and gunfire, local medics reported. The majority of the deceased were over 30 individuals who were seeking humanitarian assistance.
The Israeli army did not comment on the shelling but claims that it targets only militants and accuses Hamas of civilian casualties, as its militants operate in densely populated areas.
The incidents occurred following the announcement by the United Kingdom regarding the recognition of a Palestinian state in the event that Israel does not agree to a ceasefire in the war with Hamas. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs dismissed this statement.
The local "Shifa" hospital in Gaza reported receiving 12 bodies, which were killed when Israeli forces opened fire on a group waiting for humanitarian aid. Another 13 deceased were recorded in the camp for refugees in Jabalia and in the areas of Beit-Lahiya and Beit-Hanoun.
In the city of Khan Younis, the local "Naser" hospital received the bodies of 16 people who were killed while waiting for aid near the Morgue corridor. Additionally, the "Auda" hospital received four bodies, killed in Nuseirat.
According to the data from the Ministry of Health in Gaza, during the last 24 hours, seven Palestinians were killed, including a child, due to reasons related to the ongoing conflict. Since the beginning of the war, a total of 89 children and 65 adults have died from hunger.
The war began on July 7, 2023, when Hamas launched an attack on southern Israel, resulting in the deaths of nearly 1200 people, and 251 were abducted. The majority of the hostages were released during the truce.
According to the data from the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the Israeli counter-operation has claimed the lives of more than 60,000 Palestinians, without distinguishing between militants and civilians.
