LONDON (AP) — The NBA plans to hold a minimum of six regular season games in Europe over the next three seasons. The first matches will feature the Memphis Grizzlies and the Orlando Magic, which will take place in Berlin on January 15 and in London on January 18, 2026.
London's O2 Arena will host a game in January 2026 — this will be the first regular NBA game in Great Britain since 2019, when the Washington Wizards faced the New York Knicks. Manchester, which will host its first regular season game scheduled for 2027, will do so at the Co-op Live stadium.
In 2026, there will also be another game in Berlin, and in 2027 — a match in Paris. In 2028, both cities will again host games.
The game in Berlin will be the 14th for the NBA in Germany since 1984. Players from Orlando, France, and Moritz Wagner, who is part of the German national team, will return home for this match.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan stated that hosting the NBA at the O2 confirms the city's status as a global sports capital. Manchester is also excited about the NBA's return, as the city continues to attract major sporting events.
The full NBA schedule for the 2025-26 season will be announced in mid-September. Teams participating in the 2027 and 2028 matches will be revealed before the start of the respective seasons.
