Russian Attacks on Sumy Result in Casualties and Destruction

On July 30, 2025, Russian troops carried out a strike on Sumy, targeting critical infrastructure. According to the information provided by the head of Sumy regional military administration Artem Kobzar, two explosions occurred in the city. The first explosion was a result of an attack by a drone on a critical infrastructure facility, and there were no casualties.

The second explosion occurred in the central part of the city, resulting in injuries to two people. Also, on the evening of July 30, Russian troops launched 78 drones across Ukraine in three directions, striking Kharkiv and Pavlohrad.

On the same day, the head of the Sumy regional administration Oleg Grygoriv reported about an impending strike on the building of the regional administration. As a result of this strike, people were injured, including a 75-year-old man with serious injuries, who was hospitalized. Grygoriv noted that the Russian military systematically attacks civil and administrative infrastructure, indicating an intention to destabilize the region.
