At the World Conference of Heads of Parliaments in Geneva, delegates left the hall during the speech of Valentina Matviyenko, the head of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Kondratiuk.
Kondratiuk published a video, on which dozens of participants of the conference massively left the hall during Matviyenko's speech. He noted that this action is a demarche against the aggressor and support for the Ukrainian people.
Before the conference, the Verkhovna Rada urged its partners to boycott public events involving Matviyenko. It is noted that this is the first conference of this format since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Details about which representatives of which countries took part in leaving the hall are currently unknown.
