Pixel 10 from Google supports Qi2 magnetic charging
- Pixel 10 may become the first Google smartphone with Qi2 support.
- The Qi2 charger provides a speed of up to 15 watts.
- The official announcement of Pixel 10 will take place on September 20, 2025.
This is reported by The Verge, Engadget.
It is expected that the Pixel 10 series from Google will support wireless magnetic charging Qi2, which will become a significant step forward for Android devices. Along with the latest leaks, the new Pixel 10 is shown with a magnetic charging accessory.
The image, provided by well-known insider Evan Blass, shows that the Qi2 charging accessory is attached to the back of the Pixel 10. This confirms that the new device likely has built-in magnets for supporting fast charging.
Leaks of information also indicate that Google is working on a new line of accessories called "PixelSnap" for Qi2. This may allow the Pixel 10 to become the first Google smartphone that supports this technology without the need for using a special case.
Qi2 is a new standard for wireless charging, which requires the presence of built-in magnets for easy alignment of accessories. At this moment, only a few Android models, such as HMD Skyline, have these magnets and support Qi2 seamlessly.
If the Pixel 10 indeed receives Qi2 support, it will significantly improve the ecosystem of wireless charging for Android devices. The official announcements for Pixel 10, Pixel Watch 3, and other accessories are expected at the "Made by Google" event on September 20, 2025.
