Two aides of Biden testify regarding his mental state

  • Two aides of Biden are to testify regarding his mental state.
  • Some former aides have refused to respond to the committee's inquiries.
  • The investigation continues, and testimonies will continue in the coming weeks.

Two senior officials from the administration of former President Joe Biden, Steve Ricchetti and Mike Donilon, are to provide testimonies before the Committee regarding the mental state of Biden. This is happening as part of an investigation being conducted by the Republican committee regarding the possible decline of Biden's mental faculties and the effort to mitigate it.

The investigation is ongoing, and Ricchetti's testimony is scheduled for Wednesday, while Donilon's is on Thursday. Both aides have decided to voluntarily provide testimonies, unlike some other witnesses who have refused to cooperate.

Earlier this month, some former aides of Biden, such as physician Kevin O'Connor and Ennі Tomasi, declined to respond to the committee's inquiries. However, others, such as former senior staff member Ron Klain, have provided testimonies and expressed their views on Biden's mental competence.

According to Klain, Biden has sufficient mental acuity to fulfill the presidential duties. At the same time, he emphasized that the issue of Biden's mental fitness was not sufficiently discussed in the context of the election campaign.

The committee plans to continue the investigation, conducting interviews with other senior officials from Biden's former administration in the coming weeks.
