Emerson suffered the injury during training on Wednesday while attempting to stop wide receiver Dionte Johnson. After the injury, he was taken off the field, as he was feeling a strong pain.

The head coach noted that this is a significant blow, but he is hopeful that Emerson can overcome this injury. Emerson, who was selected in the third round of the 2022 draft, has recorded 202 tackles, 4 interceptions, one fumble recovery, and one defensive touchdown over three seasons.
