Viktor Gyokeres has joined Arsenal and is ready for the derby

Mikel Arteta noted that Gyokeres' determination to join Arsenal was one of the main reasons for signing the contract with him. The Swedish forward signed a contract worth £63.5 million from Sporting CP last week and took the legendary number 14, which belonged to Thierry Henry.
Gyokeres participated in the first training sessions of the team during the pre-season tour of Asia, and Arteta was impressed by his mentality. "I appreciate the word determination, it is the first thing I noticed when talking to him," said Arteta at a press conference in Hong Kong.
Gyokeres demonstrated his quality during training, confirming the captain of the team Martin Ødegaard. He described the newcomer as "a very complete player" with physical attributes and intelligence.
At the same time, the new Tottenham coach Thomas Frank characterized Arsenal as "one of the best teams in the world." He noted that this is a significant challenge, but the team is ready to do everything possible to overcome it.
Gyokeres may debut for Arsenal in the first North London derby, which will take place in Hong Kong. Arteta noted that their team will carefully assess the state of the player before the match to decide whether he will be able to participate in the game.
