Arsenal is negotiating for Eze from Crystal Palace

  • Crystal Palace demands £35 million for Eze as a buyout
  • Arsenal has no intention to activate the buyout amount for Eze
  • Uncertainty about the future of Mark Guehi in the team

Arsenal received information that for the signing of forward Eberechi Eze, Crystal Palace demands more than half of his buyout amount. The London club intends to pay £35 million sterling upfront, with the remainder from the initial sum of £60 million - in installments. The total amount of the deal could reach £67.5 million, including bonuses.

Eze, who has a contract with Crystal Palace until 2025, has a buyout amount of £68 million, which expires in two days before the transfer window closes. Arsenal, according to previous information, has no intention to activate this amount, as they want to start selling one of the forwards.

In addition, Crystal Palace is facing uncertainty regarding the future of captain Mark Guehi, who is being courted by Liverpool. Guehi has a one-year contract, and his possible absence could significantly impact the team. The club is looking for a replacement for Guehi, including considering Osman Diomandé from Sporting.

Transfer Oliver Glasner expressed concern about the lack of activity of the club in the transfer market, noting that so far the team has signed only two newcomers. During the preseason preparation, Glasner emphasized the need to sign new players to avoid problems during the transfer window.
