On July 30, 2025, Renault Group announced the appointment of François Provost as the new general director of the company. He replaces Luca de Meo, who left the position on July 15, 2025, to take a job at Kering.

Provost has been working at Renault since 2002 and has significant experience, including in the field of procurement and international partnerships. Previously, he held the position of director of purchasing, overseeing the Alliance Purchasing Organization, which collaborates with Asian partners, including the Chinese automaker Geely.

In his new role, Provost plans to expand Renault's presence in international markets, particularly in the sectors of traditional and electric vehicles. He emphasized that the company must have strategic plans for the development of both electric and hybrid technologies.
