Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Dined Last Night in Montreal

Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry were spotted during the evening in Montreal this week.

A spokesperson for the restaurant Le Violon confirmed that the former Prime Minister of Canada and the singer met for about two hours in the establishment on Monday evening. Photos from the meeting, published by TMZ, sparked speculation about a possible romance.

Semanta Jin noted that the couple was dining separately and no staff or onlookers approached them for photos. She said: "We noticed they were being more discreet."

Jin added that there were no obvious signs of romance, starting with: "There were no visual signs of PDA or anything like that."

Along with the reports, during the evening the couple enjoyed a menu that included various appetizers, including tuna, yellow tartar, lobster, and the main dish was lamb.

Trudeau announced his performance at the beginning of the year after nearly a decade of being in office. His father, the late Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, was also not known for being public when he became Prime Minister.

Katy Perry, who recently split from her partner Orlando Bloom, is currently in Canada on tours that include performances in Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec.

Representatives for Trudeau and Perry did not comment on this matter.
